My Approach

My approach to therapy is deeply existential, client-centered, and intentionally non-conforming to rigid or standardized therapeutic models. I work from an eclectic, trauma-informed framework that is open-minded, and non-judgmental. I believe healing is not linear, and therapy should be flexible, fluid, and responsive to the individual.

I honor each client’s pacing, autonomy, and lived experience, and I am passionate about supporting self-advocacy both inside and outside the therapy room. My work is rooted in respect for diversity across ethnicity, culture, spirituality, gender identity, and sexual orientation. I strive to create a space where complexity is welcomed, curiosity is encouraged, and parts of yourself that may have felt “too much” or “out of place” elsewhere are met with understanding.

If you are seeking a therapist who thinks outside the box, is willing to explore deep existential questions, and isn’t afraid of intellectual rabbit holes, we may be a good fit. If you prefer highly structured, manualized approaches or are uncomfortable with expansive, exploratory work, I may not be the right therapist for you—and that’s okay.

About me

I am a New York State Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 14 years of experience. I was diagnosed with ADHD and autism in adulthood, a perspective that has deepened my understanding of neurodivergence, identity, and adaptation across the lifespan. My enduring special interest has always been people—particularly the societal and generational systems that shape how we survive, relate, and make meaning.

My work reflects a belief that symptoms do not exist in a vacuum, and that understanding context is often as important as understanding behavior.

My specialties

My primary clinical focus is supporting late-diagnosed ADHD and autistic adults, with particular attention to grief, trauma recovery, identity development, self-esteem, relational challenges, and executive functioning. I work with clients as they make sense of past experiences through a neurodivergent-affirming lens and build lives that feel more authentic, sustainable, and self-directed.

I also have extensive experience working with co-occurring conditions, including OCD, depression, complex PTSD, bipolar disorder, PANS/PANDAS, ARFID, sensory processing differences, self-injurious behaviors, and substance use. This work is approached from a trauma-informed, harm-reduction perspective that prioritizes safety, autonomy, and dignity over compliance or symptom suppression.

I am formally trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) with 10 years of experience providing it in a structured outpatient setting, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Prolonged Exposure for trauma, ADHD and Autism certified. My integrative approach also draws from Internal Family Systems (IFS), solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, and somatic and sensorimotor modalities. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is not used in my practice, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is not applied in ways that aim to change or override autistic cognition or processing styles.
